Painani-2, an experimental nanosatellite owned by SEDENA, the Mexican defence agency, was developed by the Universidad del Ejerito y Fuerza Aerea.

The Painani-2 Earth Observation Satellite, a 3U CubeSat and four small low resolution cameras that operate solely in Mexican territory, is an experiment with technology. By using frequency hopping technology, the data will be downlinked in an S-band downlink.
