Elliptical

An elliptical orbit is an orbit that has the shape of an ellipse, i.e. an oval. Unlike a circular orbit, in an elliptical orbit the distance between the satellite and the centre of gravity (e.g. the Earth) changes as the satellite moves around a central body. Elliptical orbits can have different eccentricities, i.e. different degrees of deviation from a circular orbit.
