Navigation Satellite/Global Positioning Satelliteis distinct from satellites of the ‘Glonass’ series (1st generation) in that it has a fixed period of active existence of 7 years. In contrast to the previous satellites, these new satellites emit two signals for civilian consumers, which greatly enhances location accuracy.
