The Capella-10 (Whitney 8) satellites are designed to be twice the size of the Capella 1 prototype and have a larger sensor aperture for X-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR), which can provide images with high-contrast, low-noise, and high-resolution. This is achieved by means of the newly deployed 3.5-metre-wide aperture mesh reflector antenna.
