Raduga 1-M3 satellites are satellites used for military communications. They are an upgraded version of the Globus satellites (Raduga-1) with advanced multi-transponder transmitting equipment, operating in the centimeter and decimeter wave bands to ensure communication with mobile stations, even those located in mountainous areas that are hard to reach.
