Inmarsat-6F2 is the sixth generation of satellites for the London-based global mobile satellite communications operator Inmarsat. They have a dual purpose of improving Global Xpress services on both L-band and Ka-band.

The Inmarsat-6 F2 was successfully launched in February 2023 using a Falcon-9 v1.2 (Block 5). While in a slowly rising orbit, the satellite experienced one of its power subsystem failures. The orbit of this satellite is 48126 km 23061 kg. The company has filed an insurance claim for $348 million, which implies the satellite’s loss.
