Express-AM5 is a Russian communications satellite of the Express series designed to operate in geostationary orbit as part of the satellite constellation of FSUE Cosmicheskaya Svyaz (RSCC).

The Express-AM5 was constructed in Reshetnev ISS on the basis of the Express-1000H platform, according to order of the Russian satellite communications operator FSUE Cosmicheskaya Svyaz, which used to restore its orbital constellation. Discounting the payload is made by Thales Alenia Space.
